Almost everything you read here is 'Fanfiction'. See 'Terms'.

I don't own the TV shows, the anime, the manga, or any other source material for my fanfiction. I don't have permission by the owners to write these. I am also not making any money off of these things. The only person who believes that I have permission, own anything, and make tons of money is the little man who lives in my head. And he's crazy. So, please don't sue me. If you own one of my source materials, and can provide me with adequate proof that you do, and want me to take it down, then we'll talk.

Dandelions:

Simply put; Dandelions are characters I'd love to hug until their itty-bitty sweet heads pop off. Circe loooooves them.

Quick! Quick! Beat it With a Flaming Stick!:

Opposite of 'Dandelion'. These, ducklings, are characters Circe would love to put the hurt on. Often, Circe will send these poor, pitiful monsters through the emotional meat grinder.

Buddy Fic:

It means that the fic has companion piece. It's not a sequel or even a follow up. It's just a fic that goes well with the first. Like a drink and a chaser. Sort of.

Lemon:

Means 'adult sexual themes'. Yup. Potential sex. Or at least some serious snogging. Got it? Lemons come in:

Hint Of :

The barest hint of romantic leanings. This means 'I love you' feelings and tiny kisses.

Mm-mm Lemony:

More than one kiss. It can include thoughts of sex and some petting.

Lemon Fresh:

Sex. Or way serious petting. If they're not having sex, then it's a damn close thing.

Lime:

Like a lemon. Only it's either boy/boy or girl/girl. Refers strictly to anime. Lime comes in the same drinks as the lemons

Slash:

Like 'lime', only it applies to non-anime fandoms. Slash ratings consist of: 'mild' 'medium' and 'Ahoy, thar be slash here!'.

Het:

Like a lemon, only non-anime. Comes in the same flavors as 'Slash'. (Change 'slash' to 'het' in that last drink, kiddies.)

Color Me Shocked:

Means cussing, could be mild, could be the stuff to make a sailor blush. Deal with it. Most of Circe's favorite dandelions have a bit of a mouth to them. It's part of why Circe loves them.

Fanfiction:

Also called 'fanfic'. Dulcets, if you don't know what fanfiction is, why are you here? Fanfiction, oh gentle newbie, if just what the name implies. Fiction written by fans. Fans of what? Anime, manga, TV series, movies, movies-of-the-week, books, poems, you name it. The fanfic authors almost NEVER have any official permission to write what they do and they NEVER make money off of their writings. It is, dear ones, a labor of love. And the frustrated need to take control of one's dandelions.

Somebody once said that all the mythology of our times is owned by the Corporation instead of by the masses. Fanfiction, said the wise sage, was the public's way of reclaiming what we had lost.

I tend to agree with that.

The Elijah Wood Theory

Or: Elijah Wood, The Theory

I have to put this up before somebody else can claim credit for it. Not that I really think anybody is going to, but hey, why not? The Elijah Wood Theory is this: Elijah Wood is a good actor. He's a good looking young man, his voice isn't irritating, his face isn't ugly, his body isn't weird. In short, he's a very nice guy. But every now and again you just have the urge to reach out and slap him for being Elijah Wood.

Try it. Watch him in a few movies or just pop off to see Lord of the Rings. I've tried it out on a few people and they've had the same reaction. Just because he's Elijah Wood you need to slap him. Not in anger or insult, just...he's Elijah Wood. I'm not sure if this will work on other actors (hence the title) but if it does, please let me know. Then I can call this the 'Elijah Wood Syndrome'. ^.^
